| | Division 2 - SDUC 2 v 2 Felinfach
Games like this come along every once in a while. Thats what makes football so unpredictable I suppose! Despite having over 70% of the posession and a bucketful of chances Felinfach had to be grateful for a Denzil Davies equaliser in the last minute after a Richard Haywood free kick was sent into the 6 yard box to rescue a point against a resiliant SDUC side.

Its difficult to sum up why Felinfach didnt take all three points in this game. They started well, knocking the ball around nicely on the large SDUC pitch and went 1-0 up after 25 minutes after Richard Thomas sent Rhodri Bevan through on goal to finish well in the bottom left hand side of the goal. They then had further chances to go further ahead and were limiting SDUC to the occasional long ball forward over the top of the Felinfach defence which keeper Richard Brennan was comfortably able to deal with.

Inexplicably though, one poor clearance went straight to a SDUC player and he calmly steered it into an empy net to make it 1-1 at half time.

More of the same came in the 2nd half. Plenty of posession, more chances but the lack of the killer instinct in front of goal meant Felinfach were occasionally pushed too far up the field and it was another long ball over the top that saw SDUC beat the offside trap to beat Richard Brennan on his near post and amazingly go 2-1 up after 60 minutes.

SDUC now defended as if their lives depended on it and to be fair they did a good job in nullifying the threats on goal. It might not have been pretty but it was effective and Felinfach were getting increasingly frustrated. As time looked to have run out Felinfach finally got the equaliser they deserved as Denzil Davies and Richard Brennan caused confusion in the SDUC box before before bundling the ball into the net.

Despite the away point this was a game that really should have resulted in all three for Felinfach and they will need to show a more clinical side when they welcome in form Bargod Rangers next week.
